Young people are frequently discussed, but they are not always included in the conversation. Adults debate their education, health, employment, technology use and future, while young people themselves may be given little opportunity to explain what they experience, what they need and what they hope to create.

Radio Your World 360 wants to change that.

Young people are not simply the leaders of tomorrow. They are thinkers, creators, campaigners, entrepreneurs and community contributors today. They understand emerging technology, digital communication and changing culture in ways that older institutions sometimes struggle to recognise. When their energy is combined with guidance, opportunity and responsibility, they can produce remarkable results.

Our station will create space for young voices across its programmes. Young contributors will discuss education, mental wellbeing, careers, entrepreneurship, relationships, cultural identity, entertainment, social media and the environment. They will be encouraged to ask questions, challenge assumptions and propose solutions.

This participation must be meaningful. Inviting a young person to appear briefly while adults control the entire discussion is not genuine inclusion. We want young people to help identify subjects, develop programmes, conduct interviews and produce creative content. With appropriate mentoring and safeguarding, radio can become a powerful training ground for communication, teamwork and leadership.

Broadcasting develops valuable skills. Preparing for an interview requires research. Asking effective questions demands curiosity and listening. Presenting a programme builds confidence. Producing content teaches planning, time management and digital capability. Discussing complex issues helps young people express disagreement respectfully and evaluate different sources of information.

Radio Your World 360 will also connect young people with mentors and role models. Guests from healthcare, business, technology, education, media, culture and community leadership can explain how they developed their careers. Importantly, they can discuss the obstacles and failures behind their achievements, helping young listeners understand that progress is rarely immediate or effortless.

Career conversations will extend beyond traditional professions. The changing economy is creating opportunities in artificial intelligence, digital marketing, content production, renewable energy, health technology and social enterprise. At the same time, established sectors continue to need compassionate, capable people. We will help listeners explore possibilities while emphasising transferable skills and lifelong learning.

Mental wellbeing will be treated seriously. Young people face academic pressure, online comparison, uncertainty about employment and concerns about the state of the world. Social media may create connection, but it can also amplify unrealistic expectations and harmful judgement. Open conversations with qualified professionals and young people with lived experience can encourage healthier coping and earlier help-seeking.

Culture and identity will form another important theme. Young people from diaspora communities may sometimes feel that they stand between different worlds. They may want to respect family traditions while developing an identity that feels authentically their own. Radio Your World 360 will provide space for honest, intergenerational dialogue in which questions can be explored without shame.

We will celebrate young achievement without suggesting that everyone must become extraordinary at an early age. Growth occurs at different speeds. Some young people discover their direction quickly; others need time and experimentation. Our message will be that personal worth is not measured solely by examination results, social-media popularity or immediate career success.

Leadership begins long before someone receives a formal title. It begins when a person takes responsibility, listens to others, acts with integrity and contributes to a purpose greater than themselves. Young people can practise these qualities in families, schools, universities, workplaces and community organisations.

Radio Your World 360 will listen to young people, invest in their development and give their ideas a public platform. By doing so, we will not only prepare them for the future; we will allow them to help shape it.

Your questions deserve answers. Your talent deserves opportunity. Your ideas deserve a platform. Your future deserves a voice.

Young Voices. Future Leaders. Radio Your World 360.
